These free diet tips are for those who dread the morning walk to the bathroom for a weigh-in. Ever climbed onto the scales, half leaning against the wall, trying not to put your full weight on them, peering at the dial through half-closed eyes, silently praying you’ve dropped a pound? Or at least haven’t gained any weight, God forbid.. We know! We’ve been there, too.

Sometimes no matter how hard we try to watch our diet, the weight just doesn’t come off. It seems to be taking forever to lose it. Don’t give up! Try our free diet tips first.

Free Diet Tips – One

Maybe your diet is bland and boring.. Shake it up a bid. Get on a diet delivered plan with lots of variety, like Nutrisystem, for example. Or if you’re cooking for yourself, get some new recipes to cure the blahs. Don’t continue eating the same foods day in and day out.. People fail with their diet simply from lack of variety.

Free Diet Tips – Two

Always, always, ALWAYS have healthy snacks on hand. Load your fridge with carrots, apples, oranges, celery, non-fat yogurt, any fresh fruits and easy veggies.

But you’re out most of the day? Not a problem, my friend. All of the above listed snacks are easy to tote along with you. When I used to work long hours with an even longer commute home, I would pack enough in my lunch box to have a little something to munch on in the car. That way I didn’t dive into the refrigerator when I hit the door, or worse yet, grab a bag of chips while preparing dinner.

Free Diet Tip – Three

Take vitamins and supplements so your body is happy, and you can keep your energy up. We don’t get the nutrients we need in the best of times, and we certainly don’t get enough while dieting. So make sure you get all necessary vitamins.

Free Diet Tip – Four

Get out there and walk, jog, work-out, whatever.. but move! I have a friend on Twitter who has a lot of weight to lose. It’s easy to get discouraged, or scared that this diet won’t work either, but I’ve told her, if she will just commit to exercising 3-4 days a week, she will start to see the pounds disappear. And you will too! Find an exercise you like and commit! Don’t like any exercise? Then walk briskly. Everyone can walk.. and if you have a pup, think how happy he’ll be to go along.

Look folks, it’s all about stacking the odds in your favor. It’s often the little things that make or break our diet. So our free diet tip number five is this: Do not set yourself up for failure. You know you’ll be hungry mid morning so take some fruit to munch. Be kind to your body, and find an activity you can enjoy.. Hey, even dance lessons can be classified as exercise. Our point is this: You know what you need to do. Rather than get discouraged, appreciate what you’re trying to do.

Bonus Diet Tip:

If you fall off the wagon, jump right back on. Do not pass go, do not delay, hop back up and start over. You only fail if you stop. You do NOT fail if you fall. Good luck!
